TREATMENT PROGRAMS

Levels of Care: How to Know What You Need

Evoraa Health runs seven facilities across Tennessee and Georgia covering the full continuum, from medically supervised withdrawal through to virtual outpatient care. The useful question is not which program sounds right. It is which one your situation actually calls for.

A Step-by-Step Path to Long-Term Recovery

Most people move through care in stages. Detox clears the substance safely. Residential care builds the whole day around treatment. Then a partial hospitalization program and an intensive outpatient program lower the structure one step at a time as you return to home, work, and family.

Where you start depends on physical dependence, safety, and the home you would be going back to. Clinicians use the ASAM Criteria, a national framework from the American Society of Addiction Medicine, to match each person to a level.

Each program is built for a different level of need, from medical care on a monitored unit to flexible sessions that fit around work or school.

Residential Treatment

Live-in care with separate tracks for substance use and for mental health.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Treatment for most of the weekday, then home each night.

Drug & Alcohol Detox

Medically supervised withdrawal, measured in days, with residential care on the same campus.

Virtual IOP for Substance Use

Structured substance use treatment online when distance or schedule rules out in-person care.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

About three hours a morning, so work, school, or caregiving can continue.

Alumni & Family Services

Family therapy during treatment and connection with peers after it ends.

Why Our Program Structure Works

Continuity of Care

Step down within the network instead of starting over.

Personalized Path

Your plan changes as you make progress.

Flexible Options

Day, evening, hybrid, and virtual schedules.

Whole-Person Approach

Mental health and substance use treated together.

Insurance & Admissions Support

Most health plans cover mental health and substance use treatment under federal parity law. Network status is set facility by facility, so a plan that is in-network at one Evoraa location may not be at another. Our admissions team checks your plan against the specific facility before you commit and explains how in-network and out-of-network benefits differ.

FAQs About Our Programs and Levels of Care

They are steps on one path. Detox is the medical management of withdrawal and lasts days. Residential care means living at a facility for weeks, with the day built around treatment. A partial hospitalization program (PHP) fills most of the weekday, and you sleep at home. An intensive outpatient program (IOP) runs about three hours a morning, three to five days a week. Most people move down through these levels as they get more stable.

Physical symptoms and home life matter more than the diagnosis. If stopping brings on shakes, sweats, nausea, or strong anxiety within hours, start with detox. If the home setting keeps the problem going, residential care is usually the right fit. If weekly therapy and a few medication trials have not helped, a more structured level is worth a look. There is a longer guide to choosing a level of care, and one call with admissions can settle it.

Only if your body is physically dependent. After heavy daily drinking or long-term benzodiazepine use, supervised detox is essential, because stopping suddenly can cause seizures or delirium tremens, a medical emergency. Many people start directly in residential care, PHP, or IOP. Detox runs at Music City Detox in Madison, Tennessee, and at Peachtree Detox & Residential in Fayetteville, Georgia. Both offer residential care on the same campus.

No. Insurance contracts are held by each facility, so a plan that is in-network at one Evoraa location may be out-of-network at another. Federal parity law requires most plans to cover mental health and substance use care on terms comparable to medical care, but network status still has to be checked. Our admissions team verifies your plan against the specific facility before you commit.

Often, yes. IOP runs about three hours a morning and leaves the rest of the day open. Evening IOP starts at 6 p.m. for people who work days. Hybrid tracks mix in-person and virtual sessions, and virtual IOP works for people who cannot attend in person. PHP takes most of the weekday, so it usually means time away from a full-time job. Detox cannot be done remotely.

Yes, and many calls start that way. Parents, partners, and adult children can ask how treatment works, what coverage looks like, and how to raise the subject before their loved one is involved. Our team cannot share details about a specific person’s care without consent, but general questions are always welcome. Here is how the full continuum fits together if you want to read ahead.
